Introduction Road network overview Funding distribution breakdown & the effect on asset renewal

Class 4 – Sealed Roads Kolkilbertoo, Kamarah, Kywong Boree Creek, Strontien Roads – 274km Roads are owned by Council funding is from Council’s general revenue 6m sealed width 2X3m lanes 1m gravel shoulder

Class 5 – Gravel Roads – Collector or Link Roads Kangaroo Plains, Paintings Bridge, Axehandle and Garoolgan Euratha Road – 274km Roads are owned by Council funding is from Council’s general revenue 8m Gravel Carriageway

Class 6 – Gravel Roads – Important local access roads Gap, Faithful, Angle, Moombooldool Colinroobie, Geddes, Ellis and Wades Roads – 241km Roads are owned by Council funding is from Council’s general revenue 6m Gravel Carriageway

Class 7 – Gravel/Soil Roads – Minor Local Access Roads Davies, Birrigo Sandigo, Butlers, Inglis Roads– 351km Roads are owned by Council funding is from Council’s general revenue 4-6m Gravel/Soil Carriageway

Class 8 – Unformed Roads – Dry weather/periodical access roads Brewarrina Lane, Campbells, Triggervale, Cowabbie Creek, Garoolgan Meribee and Ryans Roads– 197km Roads are owned by Council funding is from Council’s general revenue Unformed Soil track Bankdale Road

The Big Picture Increasing traffic volumes High Efficiency Transportation – B Doubles & Road Trains Council income is likely to contract due to non-indexation of grants FFTF local government reform is also likely to impact on service delivery – This impact is yet to be determined Our Aim To provide the highest quality road system possible within the constraints we work within Adopt methodologies to improve our road network in a sustainable manner
