Chanelle LeBlanc

 Established in 1919  The point of it is to punish those who commit crimes of war genocide, and crimes against humanity.

 The International court of justice deals with States and conflicts amongst them.  International Criminal Court- deals with crimes on individuals.

 Canada has been apart of ICC since December 18, 1998 and is still a very important part.  July 7, Canada ratified the Rome Statute

 Largest Concern- children being victims.

 I believe the ICC is extremely important. I feel it is necessary to have an international way of dealing with issues. I think it makes treatment and punishment for fair and just. I feel like it is a more serious way to deal with larger situations. I also like the way that it deals specifically with individuals rather than with groups or states. People then receive a punishment that suits them and is fair.
