University of Maryland School of Medicine NIH Construction Grant Space Renovations: BRB-7, HH and HSF1-6 Renovations to BRB-7 provides new space for research core facilities (Flow Cytometry, Mass Spectrometry, Biopolymer, Transgenic), Clinical Cytogeneics, and a CLIA-certified Personalized Genomics core with robotic sample archive. Renovations to the 6 floor of HSF1 and HH provide renovated research space for consolidated imaging cores (Electron Microscopy, Confocal Microscopy, in vivo animal imaging, MRI, PET-CT, ultrasound). Completed September, 2013 –Ribbon-cutting 11/22/13 (Festival of Science).

University of Maryland School of Medicine NIH Core Renovation and Consolidation Grant BRB-7 Renovations to BRB-7 include an open lab design for the north side (top), which will physically consolidate a number of existing core facilities such as Biopolymer, Transgenic, translational Lab, BIACore, Proteomics, and others. The south side (bottom), will allow development of new resources that will specifically support clinical and translational research. Estimated date for completion: August, 2012.

University of Maryland School of Medicine NIH Core Renovation and Consolidation Grant BRB-6 Proposed renovations to BRB-6 will result in a comprehensive imaging suite between BRB and Howard Hall 6 th floors. This will include Electron Microscopy, Confocal Microscopy and whole animal imaging (MRI, PET/CT).
