TOWN OF CALMAR - LOCATION  Calmar is located approximately 14 km west of the City of Leduc  20 km to Edmonton International Airport  26 km to the South Side of Edmonton

MERITS OF GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE RESIDENTIAL, INDUSTRIAL, AND AGRICULTURAL LAND! Transportation:  Highways –  (Hwy # 39) serves as Calmar’s main street and is also a high load corridor for the region. (Sec. TOWN OF CALMAR CURRENT DEVELOPMENTS: RESIDENTIAL #1 SOUTHBRIDGE  Located on the West part of Calmar on the South side of Highway 39  Stage 1 (55 lots) was developed in 2006  Stage 2 (47 lots) was developed in 2007  Stage 3 will be built in stages with 22 lots slated to be completed in 2016

TOWN OF CALMAR UP AND COMING DEVELOPMENTS THOMAS CREEK  Located in the most westerly part of Calmar, the Thomas Creek Development consists of Approximately 140 acres of mostly residential properties, and will offer large country residential lots along the Conjuring Creek area, with a mix of residential standard lots moving east across a  Stage 1 ( 32 single lots & 10 duplex lots) is being considered for development in 2016

TOWN OF CALMAR SUMMARY  This year Calmar was fortunate enough to have been selected as a recipient of the Small Communities Grant and are presently in the process of completing a much needed expansion to our water reservoir. We are adding capacity of 600,000 gallons  Over the past 5 years we have completed upgrades and oversizing of infrastructure to service lands immediately adjacent to the already developed land, to ensure we are prepared for future developments.  We are presently updating our Land Use By-law, which will include provisions for secondary suites, Garden Suites, wind energy conversion systems, etc.
