Agents of Socialization Chart

Agents of Socialization The article from today’s class mentioned that humans are subject to two unavoidable processes: maturation and socialization. Socialization is the process by which we learn the norms, values and expectations of the society we live in. Some of the major agents of socialization are - Parents/Family Religion Popular Culture Peers/Friends

Directions for the Exercise 1.Open the chart and type the agents in order beginning with the strongest down to the weakest. 2.Think about and explain how a person may be influenced by this agent (it is ok to consider your own experience). 3.Explain why you placed the influencing agent where you did in terms of it’s impact. 4.Once you have completed chart, submit the document for grading.
