Facts Child marriage is common in Yemen 15% of girl are married by 15 and 50% before 18 Between 2010 and 2020, it is estimated that 142 million girls will marry as children. Girls who give birth before the age of 15 are five times more to die in childbirth than women in their 20s. Over 60%t of child brides in developing countries have had no formal education Worldwide, an estimated 51 million girls younger than 18 are forced to be marry.

Yemen is in top of 20 countries with a highest rates of child marriage.
