Children in need – since the first major campaign in 1980, a massive £790 million pounds has been raised. 100% of the money raised is used to benefit UK children. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood which is: Safe Happy and Secure Allows them the chance to reach their potential
Although Children in Need is welcomed by a large proportion of the British public, there are some who offer an alternative view, that the portrayal of children, particularly disabled children, as victims is unfortunate and counter-productive. It is argued that a change in social attitudes will benefit the disadvantaged more than money and public sympathy. What do you think?

What is Gift Aid? Gift Aid is a scheme enabling registered charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, effectively increasing the amount of the donation. "using Gift Aid means that the taxman will add 25p to every pound you give" If you raised £408 how much extra would the taxman add? What is the range?
