Presentation transcript:

Science Fair Project All students are required to complete a project. This presentation will help you create a productive Science Project.

Complete the six steps of the Scientific Method. Lay out your foundation by researching your topic. Each step should be easy to identify.

The Scientific Method Ask a question Research your question Form a Hypothesis Design the experiment and conduct the experiment Analyze and collect data Draw your conclusion

Be sure to write down all the websites you visited during your search for reference purposes. Search for experimental ideas by using the following search engines; Google HISD.org/Search NSTA.org NASA Space Center Ask.com National Geographic Discoverychannel.com Eol.org

Use this opportunity to launch your greatest ideas. Remember Scientists are inquisitive. They always ask: What, Where, When, How, and Why.

You should be creative. Use photos, clip art, magazines, or your own designs. Think….. Think…….. Think……. Think…… Create a report of your research. This must be a typed paper in Word Document. Font Size: 14, Letters: New Romans, Centered Title page, Name, Date, Subject, Period

Books are a great resource! Ask your teachers for a pass to the library, but wait until the time is right. Read a book…….

Complete a graph or chart using appropriate discoveries. Input your analyzed data. Make inferences and draw conclusions.

Finally, you will need a Science Fair display board. Extraordinary demonstrations speak for themselves.

Your success lies in your ability to produce great work. The hardest thing about a task is Making up your mind.
