Removal / Ejection

Definitions REMOVAL FROM THE GAME act of the umpire declaring a player ineligible for further participation in the game as a result of an infraction of the rules. Any person so removed may continue to sit on the bench but shall not participate further in the game except as a coach. EJECTION FROM THE GAME Ejection is the act of any umpire ordering a player, official or any team member to leave the game and the grounds for a repeated violation of the rules, a deliberate or unsportsmanlike act. NOTE: Failure of the ejected person to leave the game will warrant forfeiture of the game

Removal If a player is requested by the umpire to remove jewelry, illegal shoes or illegal parts of the uniform and they refuse, the player will be removed from the game Ineligible Player In batter's box with, or is discovered using, an illegal bat

Ejection Disputing judgment calls: –first team warning –repeat offender is ejected. Bad: –coach behavior –Language –Dress Use of communication equipment. Illegal Re-Entry: –ejection of manager/coach –ejection of illegal re-entry. Outside bench / dugout area –first offense team warning –repeat offender ejected.

Removal of Material Any helmets that are broken, cracked, dented, or altered are prohibited, and must be removed from the game Any bat that is not conform the rules: –tape (continues – in perfect condition) –official Softball size and dents (bat ring)
