Historical Background The IDPE is the only program in the world to confer a doctorate in ‘Evaluation’ Directed by Dr. E. Jane Davidson ( ) Directed by Dr. Michael Scriven ( ) Directed by Dr. Chris L. S. Coryn (2007- present) Developed by Dr. Daniel L. Stufflebeam and Dr. E. Jane Davidson (2002)

Mission To develop evaluation scholars and practitioners who have deep knowledge of evaluation theory, method, and practice as well as superior critical thinking and problem- solving skills

Instruction Faculty from all participating colleges, and their respective departments and disciplines serve on students’ program and dissertation committees (which must also include an external examiner) The majority of coursework is taken from participating faculty, departments, and colleges, with core courses offered directly from IDPE faculty
