4 Overview Objective of the RFP: Identify experienced and qualified organization(s) to act as a WIOA Youth Program Operator in Santa Barbara County. Contracts will be funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and managed by the Workforce Development Board. 5 Eligible Applicants Eligible Organizations: Applicants must have at least three (3) years of experience providing related services. Consortiums may apply with a lead agency identified. Private and public, secondary or post-secondary education institutions Faith based organizations For-profit and not-for-profit agencies Community Based Organizations (CBOs) Other legally established entities

8 Overview Work Experience includes both paid and unpaid opportunities to perform job duties onsite under the direction of an employer. Examples of work experience include: summer employment opportunities, pre-apprenticeship programs, internships, job shadowing, and on the job training opportunities. Selection Process 13 Independent evaluators will score proposals in each of the four competitions. Bidder Presentations & Workforce Development Board Approval Save the Date: July 15, 2016 Contracts will go before the County Board of Supervisors for execution in September
