Semitic languages include Arabic, Aramaic, Amharic, and Hebrew. 3.The Jewish peoples’ strict belief in one God offended the Greeks and Romans, who worshipped many gods. 4. The early Christian church treated Jews harshly, blaming them for the death of Christ (who himself was a Jew who preached he was “the son of God”). 5.They were killed 6.Ghettos 7.A more tolerant atmosphere left to the acceptance of Jewish people, but only to those who gave up their traditional religious practices.

8.In Russia, Jews fell victim to organized massacres called pogroms. 9.Many Jews and non-Jews insisted that Judaism was a religion. They said it was like any other and that Jews were French, Russian, or German as other citizens. 10.After World War I, some Germans blamed the Jews for Germany’s defeat, ignoring the fact that many Jews had fought bravely for their country. 11.Violent anti-Semitism was spread by Adolf Hitler and his National Socialist (NAZI) party. 12.Anti-Semitism became government policy.
