(1/3) HIE-ISOLDE TE-MSC to complete the design and manufacturing (including utilities and tooling) with the help of other groups (BE-RF, TE-CRG, TE-VSC and EN-MME) BE-RF to take responsibility for the assembly of the 2 first HIE-ISOLDE modules TE-MSC will be a close partner for the assembly of the first module BE-RF to “fly” alone for the second module in order to get prepared for the future BE-RF to intervene in the future on the module as equipment owner EN-MME to help with all utilities and tooling required for the assembly of the module Responsibility for the next cryostats could be passed to EN-MME Upon decision of BE-RF as Equipment Owner BE, TE, EN Departments Summarized by José Miguel JIMENEZ 6

To reinforce the coating unit to be able to develop new technologies & processes; To keep the manufacturing expertise (eb welding, brazing, spinning…); To make available the resources for cryostat assembly (disassembly) and RF testing. External Collaborations are important BUT need an overall coordination Priorities shall not be fixed ONLY having Projects in perspective CERN Big picture shall stay the driving line Scientific/Technical cases need to be discussed and SC RF CERN community shall get involved in the discussion of priorities and opportunities BE, TE, EN Departments Summarized by José Miguel JIMENEZ 10
