Program Philosophy Forward is a new way of teaching and learning. Forward is a fully digital, K– 5 instructional system for developing 21st century learners and thinkers. Forward helps teachers balance curriculum planning, classroom management, and student assessment. It is focused on the rigors of the Common Core State Standards, and critical thinking, creative thinking, creativity, and academic success skills. It encourages students to read earlier and helps them achieve a better understanding of mathematical practices. Students using Forward also receive a more robust education with an increased focus on science and civic engagement. Forward prepares students for the world of tomorrow and encourages them to be lifelong learners. We need to teach students to be agile thinkers, problem solvers, and collaborators.
