the Buzz light-year investigation By: Austin Warchol

introduction The students want to know what happened to poor buzz light-year. He has been poisoned by an unknown individual. They also want to find the substance that poisoned him. My hypothesis is that the substance was the powder and it was darth Vader.

Hypothesis My hypothesis is that the substance was the powder and it was darth Vader. I think the substance was powder because that is the most likely culprit. I think darth Vader is the individual because most of the evidence points towards him.

materials Eye glass Triple beam balance Water Alcohol Grape drink Salt water Vinegar Lemonade zinc Sulfur Iron Aluminum Copper plastic ascorbic acid Sodium polyacrylate Sucrose Baking soda Fat free Light pork Pork Eye droper Glass cups Paper cups Napkins Plastic tray with six cups

procedures Conductivity meter – Liquids – Powders – Metal – Hot dogs Reactivity – Liquids – Powders – Metal – Hot dogs Density – Liquids – Powders – Metal – Hot dogs Volume – Liquids – Powders – Metal – Hot dogs Luster Wraps Melting Powder Malleability Wraps Flammability Powders Liquids Pre squeeze post squeeze Hot dogs

Data and observations My data shows that… the powder was sucrose The liquid was vinegar The meat was 98% fat free The metal was zinc

conclusion The data shows that it was none of the suspects on the list so further investigations will be needed, that is y the students are giving this assignment to you. You must find the mistake that they had made.
