Approximately 1,000+ excited students & advisors will attend the KY SkillsUSA State Conference aspirating of bringing home the gold while striving to be the best in their specific contest area and to represent their state & school at the National Conference in Louisville KY in June. Our goal is to provide KY SkillsUSA student members the highest quality competition possible managed by business & industry representatives in as many contest as possible. To provide business & industry first hand observation of future employees in a completive work environment against their peers. A competition of this magnitude requires an enormous amount of planning, promotion, and support from business & industry to support KY SkillsUSA with contest chairs, judges, prizes, and financial resources in order for all students to participate in an event that will allow them to compete against peer in their training area, but more importantly its preparing students for the workforce. Some state conference expenses include: Ground Transportation: $6,000; Contestant Medals: $5,000; Supplies/materials for over 100 competitive contests: $25,000+; State Officer Reception & keynote: $30,000+; and Closing Ceremony & awards for medalist prizes: $25,000. Kentucky SkillsUSA is a 501 (C) (3) not for profit organization. KY SkillsUSA funding in generated mainly through donations, membership fee, & registration fees. KY SkillsUSA activities is not financed through state funding. We hope your company will become a KY SkillsUSA supporter. The partnership will be mutually beneficial. Students in SkillsUSA have Skills needed in today’s workplace. SkillsUSA is a non profit student organization partnering with business & industry to become involved with the future workforce.
