Margins Margins- features to change the amount of blank space at the top, bottom, right and left edges of the paper File menu, Page Setup

Line spacing Line spacing- feature of the software to change the amount of white space left between lines of text CTRL + 1 single space CTRL + 2 double space CTRL + 5 one and half space Quadruple space- enter 4 times Format menu, Paragraph

Indents Left indent- moves the text one tab stop to the right, away from the left margin Hanging indent- moves all but the first line of a paragraph Format menu, Paragraph

Alignment Alignment refers to the horizontal position of a line of text CTRL + L align left CTRL + R align right CTRL + E center CTRL + J justify Format menu, Paragraph

Footnotes and Endnotes Footnotes and Endnotes- feature to identify sources quoted in your text Insert menu

Superscript Superscript- text may be placed slightly higher than other text on a line Format menu, Font
