What is a ‘Taster Day’? Students in Year 10 can choose to visit a local college to find out if they may want to study there after Year 11. They can try out different subjects, meet students and staff and look around the college. You will need to apply to the colleges if you want to visit

Which colleges offer Taster Days? BHASVIC CITY COLLEGE LEWES (Sussex Downs College) PLUMPTON VARNDEAN

BHASVIC (Brighton,Hove And Sussex VI College) Taster Day – 4 th and 5 th July 2016 (only these dates for Patcham students) – click on Taster Days Apply online (4 th and 5 th July only) Use website to research courses that might interest you.

CITY COLLEGE East Campus – 14 th July 2016 Central Campus – 15 th July use the online prospectus to research courses they offer Check which campus you want to visit Apply online on their website

Sussex Downs – Lewes Campus Taster Day – 1 st July (only this date) – more information about their taster days will be available soon on their website. Only apply for courses at Lewes Campus. You will need to apply online. They have offered us 50 places – first come first served!

PLUMPTON COLLEGE Taster Days – during half term holidays each term Spend a whole day at the college trying out a course that interests you. – to research the courses they offer. Complete a taster day booklet and return the application form to the college (booklets available in careers office).

VARNDEAN COLLEGE Taster Day – 28 th June – click on Taster Days for more information Apply on a paper application form the school will give you. Collect from the Careers Office (next to Music)
