Armed Forces Day June 2014 Armed Forces Day recognises and celebrates those who have served in the forces and those currently serving. It acknowledges the contribution they make and raises awareness of their dedication to our country. Armed Forces Day celebrations raise the awareness of young people about the sacrifices and work by both veterans and those currently serving.

Armed Forces Day is…. A family friendly event which encourages people in Dudley and beyond to come together to support British Armed Forces. The event is held at the prestigious Himley Hall and park and includes: Free children’s entertainment A band concert featuring West Midlands Fire Service Military processions Marching bands Display of military vehicles Presentation ceremony to award veterans with their veteran’s badges Exhibition stands Location – Himley Hall and Park

Publicity and statistics 2013 event: Up to 5,000 visitors attended Out of 100 people surveyed, 99 said they would attend the event again and 98 described it as very good or excellent.
