TRAINING PROJECT: Design Finance Construction operation Maintenance of Gorakhpur-Hata road on the basis of men, machine and material.

DESIGN: Design is strategy in getting appropriate projects scope fitted to specific project purpose and need. Design use a systematic approach of using limited resources to optimize the system. Design requires engineering judgement focusing on project purpose, evaluating the safety and design tradeoffs.

CONSTRUCTION: Preparation of soil sub grade. Preparation of sub-base course. Preparation of base course. Preparation of surface course. Rolling, screening sprinkling of water and grouting.

SUB GRADE: Preparation of sub grade takes place after clearing and stump removal phase. 3 basic technique is used (a) Side cast fill (b) Full bench construction with end haul (c) Balanced road section with excavation fill in layers

BASE COURSE: Base course is basic layer of road construction. It is formed with water bound macadam technique. First make surface free of dust and irregularities. Spread course aggregate properly on prepared surface to proper grade / super elevation in such quantity that desired thickness occur. Dry roll the surface. Sprinkle water and then roll again. Sprinkle the binding material at slow rate and roll.

SWEEPING MACHINE: Machine is powered by a tractor. Cleaning brush is driven by a hydraulic motor. It is used for cleaning roads, highways. Especially for cleaning WMM/WBM layers prior to bituminous coat.

WORKING:

WET MIX MACADAM PLANT: It is application designed product for preparation of homogeneous mix material of WMM base/sub base layer. It consists five units. Heavy duty four bin feeder unit Inclined slinger belt conveyor Single deck vibrating screen Pug mill unit Storage silo

MAINTENANCE: Maintenance of road can be easy as scraping off the layer and replace it with new layer. Some time weather condition and improper construction cause breakage and incorrect sloping. Then further maintenance required Grading Ditches
