Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty provides more value than non- synthetic DEXRON®-III type ATFs because it allows users to extend drains by up to 4 to 6 times. When you factor in the cost of labor, disposal, filters, and downtime for changing ATF, you come out ahead by using the extended- service synthetic. Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty provides much better oxidation protection and higher oil film thickness compared to regular mineral- based ATF. These benefits are critical factors in extending the useful working life of your transmission. Finally, Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty is priced below its main competitor, Castrol’s TranSynd TM ATF. Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty

Like all manufacturers, Allison warrants its transmissions against defects in materials or workmanship as more specifically described in their warranty. In fact, Allison has two major types of warranty: Standard and Extended Transmission Coverage (ETC). The standard warranty is satisfied by using any Allison C-4 approved product, and this includes Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty. The standard warranty coverage varies by transmission model and vocation, but it is generally valid for 2-3 years and some have additional mileage or hours limitations. It is within most OEM guidelines to use Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty for longer than the recommended drain interval, as long as you perform oil analysis and ensure that the lubricant is in good condition. Thus, customers can use a premium ATF to extend drains, save money, and still get standard warranty coverage. For the Extended Transmission Coverage, Allison insists on the use of TranSynd TM or other TES-295 approved fluid. Because there are no qualified TES-295 fluids, other than TranSynd TM or its rebrands, customers are forced to use the Allison fluid or forfeit extended warranty coverage. The Extended Transmission Coverage can be purchased for 1, 2, or 3 years, and takes effect after the normal warranty period ends. Chevron Synthetic ATF Heavy Duty
