Background Flips Gymnastics and Sport is located in Lockport, NY Offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced gymnastics classes for all ages. To turn their existing file/registration system(mainly paper based) into a full Microsoft Access database. This database would include student registration, waiver forms, class information, medical information, coach information, and much more.

Purpose To make the gymnastics gym run more smoothly and efficiently help management schedule classes based on popularity and also on coach availability. Able to sign up for the gym and classes digitally through this information system, instead of on paper make it much easier for a worker to look up customer waiver and medical information more efficiently, and would make life easier on both clients and employees.

Focusing on tracking clients’ information is becoming a serious issue. The gym has to change it’s record keeping style. Hard to create a scheduling system because you had to organize all the paper accounts. In our proposed computer system, the design is based on an easy to operate and clear direction system between the users and database. This will give management the opportunity to decide which class to increase in time, prevalence and capacity and which classes to downgrade. Business problem/Opportunity

Conclusion Overall, this system will eliminate most paperwork from the company, makes class sign up and class scheduling more efficient allows a quicker lookup of medical and waiver information if a client is injured while at the gym. Database systems help run businesses more smoothly and efficiently, and allow quick information lookup for companies.
