Report of the National Center for Academic Transformation Course redesign using information technology is key to increasing student learning. Collectively the 30 courses enrolled about 50,000 students annually 25 of 30 courses showed a significant increase in student learning 18 of the 24 courses that measured retention reported a decrease in drop-failure-withdrawal rates and an increase in course completion rates. Other positive outcomes included improved student attitudes to subject matter and increased student satisfaction. Course redesign using information technology is key to increasing student learning.
