Access Profile & User Settings Customize your user settings in Canvas by clicking on your user name. Navigating to your Profile Located in the Help Corner, the Settings link can be found in any page inside Canvas. Click the Settings link to: View and edit your personal settings View or add a profile picture Access links to your Notifications, Files, and ePortfolios Edit your profile information

Edit User Profile Students can access instructor profiles. Use this area to insert information you want to convey Under Profile you can: Edit your title Edit ways that users can contact you Edit your bio Add personal links Edit profile picture

Add Profile Picture To upload your picture: 1.Click the Pencil icon Upload a Picture Take a Picture 2.Click Save Note: The Take a Picture option is not supported when using Safari or Internet Explorer.

Add Additional Addresses To add an additional for communication in Canvas do the following: 1.Open Settings 2.Click Add Address link 3.Type the address into the field 4.Click Register 5.Go to your account, click the link to finish registering the additional address

Add Cell Phone # To set up text notifications to your cell phone: Open Settings on Global Navigation bar Click Add Contact Method link Register Cell Phone 1.Type 10-digit phone number 2.Select Carrier 3.SMS will auto-populate 4.Click Register SMS Confirm SMS Number (You will receive a text message) 1.Enter the code into the field 2.Click the Confirm button 3.Click the Re-Send Confirmation link to have the code sent again (if needed)

Customizing Notification Preferences Your notifications preference page will display all the contact methods and how you want to be notified for each contact method as well as how often. To change the frequency of notifications, click on the boxes under the contact methods and select how often you want to be notified.
