Description of Disease characterized by attacks of chills, fever, and sweating. It is a disease that is caused by a mosquito and then it gets into your blood stream and can cause problems.

History of Disease Malaria became recognizable in Greece in the 4 th century BCE. It was responsible for many for the decline if many city-state populations.

Symptoms Fever Chills Headache Sweats Fatigue Nausea and vomiting

Transmission Malaria transmission most often occurs through the bite of an Anopheles mosquito. No other types of mosquitoes are known to transmit this disease.

Cures and Treatments There is medicine that may be used for malaria if the disease is treated early enough.
