(Jonah preaching from 1 John.) "Michael turn in your Bible to 1 John. Jesus is the light, he is not dark at all"
We know “We know that we have passed from death to life because we love the brothers.” We know And we need reminding
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands - 2:3 And this is how we experience a daily, continuous and growing knowledge that we actually have come to know him and still know him. We treasure, value and hold in the highest esteem his commands (which leads to obedience)
But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. - 2:5,6 But those who continually treasure and guard and hold on to his word, his instructions, his perfect law; in those people God’s love meets its goal and purpose: that of attaining maturity and completeness in Him. Now this is how we know that we are in an abiding, living relationship with him: Whoever says, “I’m at home in Christ” must place their full dependency on him all throughout the journey of their life. This is how we came to experience and understand God-love: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us! Thus we, in turn, ought to lay aside our lives for one another.
