Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and 5th largest city in the world with a population of 12.8 million, also making it the second largest metropolitan area in Europe by population, and the largest metropolitan city.

T he Golden Horn is a historic inlet of the Bosphorus dividing the city of Istanbul and forming the natural harbor that has sheltered Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and other ships for thousands of years.
