ADVANTAGES&DISADVANTAGES Wireless energy transfer can potentially recharge laptops, cell phones without chords. No need of the wires to transfer the electricity. Disadvantages The transmitter and the receiver should be very powerful devices as the distances increases. Wireless transmission of the energy causes some drastic effects to human body, because of its radiation.
Conclusion wireless transmission of the energy can be converted to electricity and then can be used for many appliances. If this technology develops much faster, we can soon see the radiated world; we mean the energy can be harnessed from any location of the earth. WPT is one of the most useful applications of radio waves. WPT is a point-to-point power transmission.
Future Scope A low power Schottky diode was used for rectification in the low frequency region it cannot perform in high frequency region. MIM diodes are the efficient conversion of input AC signal to usable DC output compared to Schottky diode.
