Homework Help

Puzzles The diameter of the circle below is divided into three equal lengths, and those lengths are used to make the marble-like design that splits the circle into three different-colored sections. The aresa of sections I and III are equal, but what about the area of section II? Is it less than, greater than, or equal to the area of I?

Puzzles

"There's one particular café that I love visiting on a Saturday morning. To get there, I catch a bus and go one stop, then walk northwest along a straight road, turn right at the next crossroads, turn right again at the crossroads after that, walk to the end of the road and turn left, then walk on until I see the cake shop on the right and cross over to the café opposite. After entering the café, I like to sit with the street I just came from on my left. If the streets all lie perpendicular to one another, which direction will I be facing?"

Puzzles

This wooden hammer is built from seven cubes, each of which is covered in the same pattern of symbols. One of the cubes needs to be replaced. The arrangement of the symbols on the replacement cube, labeled 2, needs to match all the hammer's other cubes.
