Seminar on Improve Marketability of Your Products through Better Packaging and Labelling May 24, 2016 (Tuesday)  Wisma FMM, Bandar Sri Damansara, Kuala Lumpur Better Packaging and Labelling Means Better Marketability The way you package and label your product is important. The packaging not only protect or preserve the content, transport the product from one place to another and carry information about the product, but it should also entice consumers to purchase the product. Equally important is the food labelling. It is a way in which consumers can get knowledge about the food they are considering to purchase. Labels with correct information on the packaging can prevent consumers from unnecessary harms such as allergic reactions. Labelling requirements are put in place to protect the consumers. Therefore it is important for manufacturers and suppliers to know these requirements in ensuring the right message is relayed to the consumer about the products through labelling on the packaging. The right packaging type and appealing design are vital to raise the competitive edge of the product and determine its success in the market. In addition, the placement of the bar code on the packaging must be both aesthetic and within the printing specification required for a “good” scan. Attend the seminar to:  Learn guidelines, laws and regulation on packaging and labelling  Get a better understanding on the importance of the right packaging design and factors to be considered when choosing a packaging  Hear from the industry on the latest trends in safety and compliance on food packaging  Acquire knowledge on the technical specifications for production of quality bar code on retail packaging  Discover how packaging can be part of brand protection process through authentication Venue GS1 Malaysia, Wisma FMM, No. 3 Persiaran Dagang, PJU 9, Bandar Sri Damansara, Kuala Lumpur Who Should Attend Key Officers who are responsible for materials selection, designing and labelling information on the product packaging.
