AFTER GRADUATING HS I WILL ATTEND…… I wish to attend Vanderbilt University - application -high school transcriptions -counselor letter of recommendation -two academic letters of recommendation -SAT or ACT scores I will pursue a major in psychology with a minor in child studies It will take me four years with required math, science and premed classes to graduate with a B.S
AFTER RECEIVING A B.S. IN PSYCHOLOGY WITH A MINOR IN CHILD STUDIES I will apply to the Vanderbilt School of Medicine -two stages of admission: an evaluation of your application and then a secondary stage interview -Approximately one third of the first stage applicants get an interview. Then, around 450 students will be interviewed and approximately 200 will be offered admission for 88 positions I will receive a doctorate in “primary care” that will take me four years to complete
REQUIREMENTS FOR A PEDIATRICIAN A state license is needed to practice -graduate from medical school -complete a time of residency -take the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam Residency -takes 3 years -combination of classroom and practical experience Board Certification -provides certification in a specific area (pediatrics) Need to be personable, polite, patient, determined
