A collaboration between twenty two Colleges, Universities and Community Colleges, fourteen local and regional economic development agencies and a multitude of local, regional and national Transportation and Logistics entities. The NCCGL plays a role in the recruitment and retention of businesses in the Piedmont Triad region by: - Managing the Piedmont Triad’s Logistics and Aerotropolis Initiatives - Providing current Transportation and Logistics Industry Information - Advocating for improved business conditions for regional Transportation and Logistics Industries - Marketing the Piedmont Triad Region at Trade Shows and Conferences - Working with the regional Economic Development Advisory Council to generate recruitment leads for regional economic developers - Consistantly working to develop the highest skilled workforce in the Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Industry. The new 97,000 square foot facility is currently under construction on Guilford Technical Community College’s new 100 acre Logistics campus. Includes conference capability, a teaching warehouse, research facilities, flex-labs and more. Coordinates the collaborative logistics programs and research assets of 13 four-year colleges and universities and 9 community colleges as well as national logistics industry experts. Planned and featured programs in standard logistics, distribution & supply chain as well as life sciences supply chain, global logistics culture, logistics technology, aviation and others. Will be the most comprehensive logistics educational and research facility in existence.

Piedmont Triad Regional Logistics Initiative Two Major Initiatives The Piedmont Triad Aerotropolis Project The North Carolina Center for Global Logistics VISION STATEMENT In 2-3 years, the Piedmont Triad Region will be recognized as the fastest growing, most business friendly global logistics center on the US East Coast. Our Airports will become hubs for international airfreight. Manufacturers/Distributors will establish and grow manufacturing and warehousing operations for both domestic and international distribution and we will be known globally for our logistics education curriculum.
