“Going Deeper with The Holy Spirit”

 There are tremendous gifts that God wants to give you but many don’t ask or desire. - Jesus Loves you so much and desires that you be empowered and receive His Holy Spirit while you are still on the earth.  “I baptize with water," John (the Baptist) replied, "but among you stands one you do not know.” John 1:26 NIV  “I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’” John 1:33 NIV

 The Giving of the Holy Spirit brings understanding from the Spiritual Realm.  1Cor. 2:6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.  1Cor. 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,…  1Cor. 2:8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

 1Cor. 2:9 But as it is written: "EYE HAS NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD, NOR HAVE ENTERED INTO THE HEART OF MAN THE THINGS WHICH GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."  1Cor. 2:10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.  1Cor. 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

 1Cor. 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.  1Cor. 2:13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The Holy Spirit leads us from Repentance through Regeneration into the Baptism with the Holy Spirit  Repentance - John’s Baptism – a baptism with water characterized by Repentance (a remorse and turning away from sin) and Remission ( a lessening and covering of the sin by God’s provision) - due to the conviction of the Holy Spirit about sin.  Regeneration – the action of change inwardly by the Holy Spirit first coming into your life at the time you believed in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.  Baptism with the Holy Spirit – a second work of the Holy Spirit releasing fullness of Gifts

Something Happens when the Holy Spirit is Given in the second working in your life…  It is possible for a person to have repented of their sin, and received the salvation of God (which is by grace through faith and be born again by the Holy Spirit who comes in and changes you)… but still not be filled by the second work of the Holy Spirit…  Real Example – Acts 19:1 – 6 the Ephesian Believers.  Therefore … ask, seek and knock and the Holy Spirit will be given to you! Luke 11:9

 3 Levels of Working of the Holy Spirit - The initial level of working of the Holy Spirit - leading us to Jesus, making us aware of sin John 16:7,8, helping us to repent, then receiving salvation when we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ.  The second level of working of the Holy Spirit – He becomes our Comforter John 14:16, Teacher John 14:26, bears Witness Rom. 8:16, The Spirit of Truth John 14:17, Guides and Leads John 16:13; He teaches you to live right and holy.

 A deeper work of the Holy Spirit is seen in the God’s supernatural Gifts of the Holy Spirit as we worship Jesus Christ…  The Holy Spirit is a revealer of mysteries and wisdom of God.  The Holy Spirit is a revealer of God’s plans by visions, dreams and trances.  The Holy Spirit enables healing from God, deliverance from oppressive spirits and healing for our souls, and raising from the dead too.  The Holy Spirit helps us to pray with groaning(s) of intercession.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Cor. 13:14  Acknowledge and worship Him as part of the Godhead – His presence, gifts, life.  Invite Him and thank Him for coming.  Invite Him to take control of your life decisions and to lead and counsel you and show you more about Jesus.  Use the gift of your prayer language from the Holy Spirit as part of the worship to Jesus.  Fellowship (speak) with Him as a person.  Repent when you have grieved Him and be restored back into fellowship with the Holy Spirit.  Be ready to obey Him.

1. As you grow in knowing the Holy Spirit your faith level will grow. (Read books by well known people who have received the Holy Spirit.) 2. Be empowered for better effective prayer. 3. Be charged up as you spend time with the Holy Spirit. 4. You will have a new assurance of God’s love for you. 5. You will have a new heart for those with out Christ. 6. Have a new heart for missions around the world. 7. Be better empowered and equipped to understand the spiritual realm.

 3 simple steps to how you can receive the Baptism with the Holy Spirit ~ 1. Jesus is the baptizer with the Holy Spirit. Matt 3:11 2. Your heavenly Father wants to give and baptize you the Holy Spirit more than you know or want. Luke 11:13 3. ASK / SEEK / KNOCK and BELIEVE and He will be in your life. Luke 11:9-11  Can you believe this is for you? ~ God wants to give you His Holy Spirit in a second work of God and you will receive and experience Him.
