CERTIFICATE in PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE CERTIFICATE in PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE A core group of visionary leaders representing their respective organizations from 12 countries met in Manila on 09 November 1974 for the First Asian Regional Training and Development Organization (ARTDO) Conference. A shared vision and a call to action brought them together: To promote human resource development – a pre- condition to economic growth and progress - - through a unified approach That historic meeting led to the organizations in the Asia- Pacific region. It has since covered a ies of record- breaking milestones. In 1998 during its Silver Jubilee Convention in New Delhi, India, a decision was made to recognize and ratify what was already an accomplished fact: that ARTDO International membership base has expanded beyond its traditional border. ARTDO has become global in scope while retaining an Asian perspective. Thus, ARTDO has metamorphos ed into ARTDO International. Today it is an international umbrella body with membership comprising national organizations, educational institutes, multi-national corporations, public and private enterprises, HR management specialists from well over 30 countries worldwide. STRATEGY PROJECT ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION By end December 2015 latest, you will need to complete and submit for your local NSO, a renewed 3 year strategy projects for certification. In your report: o Illustrate how you have been able to apply key concepts learnt from the “Strategic Change Management - Leadership of Strategies, Change & Impact” program in the way you address the challenge and also identify solutions and action plans at your local NSO level. o We need to verify that stakeholders are indeed involved and engaged in your learning journey throughout the project and the usefulness of the proposed actions for your local NSO. You don’t have to show effectiveness of implementation (as there may be insufficient time) but you do have to show that you have gotten buy-in and commitment from your stakeholders and have a program tracking mechanism as strategic initiatives are implemented over the coming 3 years. o Conduct a self analysis of learning challenges and how these were overcome – e.g. using mentors, coaches, support from peer groups, personal research (state how these were done and the source, e.g. google websites, research papers, etc.) Getting CERTIFIED

PROJECT REPORTING TEMPLATE This acts as guidance: o Executive Summary Key differences and between current strategies and the new strategies What key change/transformation resulted from the latest approach Summarize – keep doing, do more, stop doing, do less, do new o A detailed reporting of your renewed 3 year strategy plan using the “5 Key Areas of Strategy Management” areas. You will be required to provide insights on how you facilitated and also detailing what were the final decisions/ actions for Defining the purpose of the organization (visioning, missioning, purpose) Defining where the organization is at (the strategic analysis) Defining where the organization will be in 3 years (strategy formulation) Defining the things that needs to be implemented/ acted on for it to go to where it wants to be (strategy implementation) Monitoring progress on an ongoing basis for next 3 years (strategy evaluation and monitoring) o Your reports need to show specific stakeholder buy in and endorsement. Some affidavit statements from the participants of the strategy session you facilitated Some affirmations from stakeholders that the 3 year plan has been endorsed Show some program management milestones outlining major initiatives and its regular tracking/checking points for the next 3 years o Final Learning Conclusions and Carry Over Comments on how your personal leadership has been strengthened as a result of this program What challenges were encountered and if you have a chance to facilitate another 3 year strategy planning workshop, what will you try differently the next time around Getting CERTIFIED

PROJECT ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION o Ultimately we are looking for a LEVEL 3 learning evaluation using the Kirkpatrick Learning Evaluation Model. (see appendix 1) o The onus is on the participant seeking certification to show deep learning and application of key strategy planning and execution frameworks. To assess how well you have indeed become a more strategic leader we will be using the Bloom’s Taxonomy for Learning Evaluation. (see appendix 2) Getting CERTIFIED
