STOP MAKING THESE ERRORS!  Please put book titles in either italics OR underline it!  Please put commas after introductory words and phrases! ● Example: Today, we are going to learn how to use commas after introductory words.  Always proofread your paper before you submit it! (  See how silly that looks?)  Put your paper in MLA Format: Heading in upper left-hand corner, title centered (no bold or underline), 1” margins, 12 pt. font, Times New Roman  Please, add variety to the beginning of your sentences. There is never a reason to start all of your sentences with “the” or “this.” Because you can, switch around the order of your clauses. Even better, add transitions!  Steer clear of words like “this” and “that” and “it” and “what.” These are scary because we do not know what they are…  BE CONCISE.  Spell out all contractions in formal writing. DO NOT be lazy! ● Please write in complete sentences. We know what those are by now!
