On 22 February 2006, DCMA eBusiness deployed a new tool as part of DCMA’s suite of tools called Duty Free Entry (DFE). This new method for submitting Duty Free entitlements and certificates for shipments eliminates lost documents, reduces paper, and saves time. Currently, the process is time consuming and relies heavily on manual labor. Not anymore! In an effort to inform customers of this new application and its benefits, eBusiness has put together this PowerPoint for you to deliver to Contracting Officers. The goal of this presentation is not only to inform our CLRs of this change; but also to excite and prepare Contracting Officers for this application. In addition to this presentation, DCMA eBusiness has developed Quick Reference guides available at and brochures intended to help our customers learn more about the application and its benefits. We hope that our customers will have a good understanding of the purpose, support, and benefits of the DFE application. Participants may complete more than 180 continuous learning hours in the program, which also includes experiential learning activities, such as: The program also includes a strong mentoring element, with each participant assigned two mentors to work with throughout the year (NCMA is also looking for volunteer mentors). I’ve attached a copy of the application form, summary of the program I was sent last year and a copy of the tentative curriculum (where the 180 hours of continuous learning comes from). There are four events throughout the year-long program that require travel. I have REALLY enjoyed this program and met wonderful people from across the country that are eager to share their knowledge. Our chapter can submit as many applications as we choose, but no more than one student can be selected from any given chapter.
