PARTY MASK ACTIVITY You will be creating a party mask to represent a character in Romeo and Juliet to examine characterization in the play. 1. Provide a character description and examples of quotes and actions of the character. 2. Explain how another character feels about your character. 3. Design a mask that using symbols and colors.

PARTY MASK EXAMPLE Character: Lady Capulet Character description: Juliet’s mother, obedient, old-fashioned Example of an action: Lady Capulet attempts to pressure her daughter into marrying Count Paris Example of a quote: “Well, think of marriage now; younger than you, Here in Verona, ladies of esteem, Are made already mothers.” Example of how other characters view Lady Capulet: Lord Capulet says women who are married too young are ruined, suggesting he thinks it was a bad idea for Lady Capulet to marry so young.
