Sustainable Growth Role of ICT* (I) ICT* account for approximately half of the productivity growth in modern economies offer a great potential for re-engineering society towards more sustainable economic, social and environmental patterns could possibly contribute to a lower Carbon economy through progressive dematerialisation can potentially contribute to most of the key challenges of the renewed Sustainable Development Strategy * ICT= Information and Communication Technologies
