UN RESOLUTIONS ON IRAQ Resolution Following invasion of Kuwait. Member states, co-operating with government of Kuwait, authorised to `use all necessary means’ to evict Iraq from Kuwait, and `to restore international peace and security in the area’. (Emphasis added)

UN RESOLUTIONS ON IRAQ Resolution Iraq to `unconditionally accept the destruction, removal, or rendering harmless, under international supervision, of’ Chemical and biological weapons. Ballistic missiles with range greater than 150 kilometres. Also, not to acquire or develop nuclear weapons. Also to cease support for international terrorism. 90 days to comply. Sanctions until compliance had been secured.
