Project Description  Social Network that showcases original multimedia such as digital music, videos and graphics.  Similar structure to FaceBook or MySpace, but for Music Producers and Disk Jockeys.

Outcomes  Created DjBeat.net (registered domain)  Originally created with free, open source Social Network PHP script, called Dolphin  Scripting is intensive and difficult for inexperienced PHP programmers

Outcomes (continued)  Problems with nameserver allowing domain to show up in browser  Proxy had to be used to view the site  Webhost had low bandwidth and made site slow if several users were logged in simultaneously

Outcomes (continued)  I plan on fixing nameserver issues and upgrading hosting plan  I created my own liquid layout that would be used for DJBeat.net  I used original graphics, music, video and layout:

Lessons Learned  I need to learn more PHP and possibly create an original social network backbone  Original layouts are better to work with and come from the <3  I need to pick a better webhost if I want to fully launch DJBeat.net
