19 PDF Requirements We recently updated the PDF Standards page on Communication Standards. The new page is a step-by-step process that helps you ensure your PDFs meet all of EERE’s standards! If you’ve optimized PDFs before, two steps are new: 1.Setting the language. This is under “File > Properties,” under the “Advanced” tab. Set the PDF’s language to English! 2.Setting the file to display the title of the document (not the file name) at the top of the document. In “File > Properties,” go down to the “Show” drop-down menu and select “Document Title.”
