Ezekiel 22:30 - I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. “INTERCESSION”

Reformer’s Pledge As a lover and disciple of Jesus Christ, I am called to be a reformer, world changer, and history maker. As a reformer, I pledge to advance His Kingdom, fulfill the Great Commission, and live for the glory of God. By His grace, power, authority, I also pledge the following:

Pledge 3 I will give myself to prayer since I am a part of the house of prayer for all nations. I will intercede for those who are in authority over the seven mountains of culture. Through prayer, I will spiritually contend with all false religions and false ideologies. I will also pray for the peace of Jerusalem and pray that all of Israel will be saved.

Acts 12: It was about this time that King Herod arrested some who belonged to the church, intending to persecute them. 2 He had James, the brother of John, put to death with the sword. 3 When he saw that this met with approval among the Jews, he proceeded to seize Peter also. This happened during the Festival of Unleavened Bread. 4 After arresting him, he put him in prison, handing him over to be guarded by four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring him out for public trial after the Passover. 5 So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him. 6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance.

7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Put on your clothes and sandals.” And Peter did so. “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me,” the angel told him. 9 Peter followed him out of the prison, but he had no idea that what the angel was doing was really happening; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first and second guards and came to the iron gate leading to the city. It opened for them by itself, and they went through it. When they had walked the length of one street, suddenly the angel left him.

11 Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.” 12 When this had dawned on him, he went to the house of Mary the mother of John, also called Mark, where many people had gathered and were praying. 13 Peter knocked at the outer entrance, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer the door. 14 When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed she ran back without opening it and exclaimed, “Peter is at the door!” 15 “You’re out of your mind,” they told her. When she kept insisting that it was so, they said, “It must be his angel.”

16 But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished. 17 Peter motioned with his hand for them to be quiet and described how the Lord had brought him out of prison. “Tell James and the other brothers and sisters about this,” he said, and then he left for another place. 18 In the morning, there was no small commotion among the soldiers as to what had become of Peter. 19 After Herod had a thorough search made for him and did not find him, he cross-examined the guards and ordered that they be executed.

1.The Reason For Intercession – vs.1-3

A. The Church is being PERSECUTED John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…

B. The Church is being SILENCED 2 Corinthians 11: …for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness…

C. The Church is being ATTACKED 1 Peter 5:8 - Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

2. The Reality Of Intercession – vs. 5-7

A. Intercession brings BREAKTHROUGH Matthew 21:22 - You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.

B. Intercession brings HOPE Malachi 4:2 - But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.

C. Intercession brings INSTRUCTION James 1:5 - If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

3. The Result Of Intercession – vs

A. Intercession brings HARMONY to the church Psalm 133:1-3 - How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony! 2 For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil... 3 Harmony is as refreshing as the dew... And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing, even life everlasting.

B. Intercession brings a STIRRING to the church Isaiah 51:15 - For I am the Lord your God, who stirs up the sea, causing its waves to roar. My name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

C. Intercession brings VICTORY to the church James 5:16 - The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
