ÇANAKKALE ANATOLIAN HIGH SCHOOL SCHOOL SAVING WATER PLAN

CAN YOU IMAGINE A DAY WITHOUT WATER?

NO ONE CAN!

As our population grows, more and more people are using up this limited resource. Therefore, it is important that we use our water wisely and NOT WASTE IT!

What can we do for this? How can we save water at schools?

Saving water at schools also means saving money and energy.

We can start water saving teams(H2OClub) and everybody can have important roles to save water.

They can monitor the leaking taps and report them as soon as possible to someone who is responsible for fixing the leaking taps, water fountains or toilets

Raising awareness is an important way to save water. How can we achieve?

Members of the team can design posters and hang them on the walls everywhere at school.

They can put stickers with slogans about saving water on the mirrors of the toilets.

Organizing slogan competitions will be a good idea.

Organizing a seminar about saving water can also be a good way to raise the awareness of the students.

We can make everyone at school aware about water consumption by having one day of limited water use. And after that we can analyze this with a survey.

World Water Day is a chance to raise awareness of students.

We can organize a “Walk for Water” in our town on that day.

We can install rainwater tanks and connect them to the toilets or use water for our school gardens.

We can install water saving devices in our school. It can be a reducer on a faucet or a displacement device in the toilet tank.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION!
