Africa has a unique culture. Most people call it the “rainbow nation” that terms describes the uniqueness of the continent’s multicultural diversity. Africa has a large number of Afrikaans-(descended from Dutch settlers) and English speakers (the British began colonizing the region in the 1800s). French Huguenots, Germans and Portuguese arrived from the 1600s and brought many slaves from India and modern-day Indonesia. Islam and Hindu traditions and culture are also therefore prominent. African Culture & How It Started

One type of Africa's literature is oral literature, oral literature have dramas, riddles, histories, myths,and songs. There slave narratives such as the interesting narratives of the life,and adventures of Oluadah Equiano or Gustavas Vassa the African(1789) which describes vividly the horrors of slavery and the trade. After World War 2 as Africans demanding there independence and an ending of Aparthid, more African writers were published. Key fact /Africa's Literature

Africa is most known for there art, dance, and music. Most of their stories are told as performance pieces. There music and dances have been around for more than 2 centuries.
