Ormie the Pig Ormie is a Pig, in every sense of the word. Pig see cookie. Pig want cookie. But they are out of reach...or are they? See Ormie's attempts to gain the warm sweet taste that is his obsession.

Watch the short film that has film festival audiences laughing and cheering. Ormie has won 8 Festival Awards including Best Short Film and the Audience Award.

What happens in the movie? The pig sees the cookies. He wants them. He tries to get them. He fails.

Monologue What is a monologue? A monologue is similar to a dialogue. A dialogue is a conversation between two people. A monologue is a conversation a person has with his thoughts.

Write a monolgue for Ormie the Pig. In pairs, talk about what Ormie must be thinking. Write what you think is going on inside his head. When you have written it, practice saying it together.

Ormie’s Monologue - Example  If I use a broom, I might get the cookies.  No that didn’t work, how about a chair?  Agggghhhhh, the chair didn’t work either. Maybe these books will help me.
