3 Tests You Must Pass Before You Start to Drive ► The written test and the vision test must both be passed before you even get your permit. ► The road test is the test you will take when you are going for your probationary license

Written Test ► The written test is based on information you will find in the driver manual. ► It is a 50 question multiple choice test ► In order to pass you must score at least 80% or at least 40/50

Vision Test ► A vision test is required for all motorist. ► For a basic license applicant your eye sight must be 20/50 or better with or without corrective lenses. ► For a CDL (Commercial Driver License) applicant your eye sight must be 20/40 or better with or without corrective lenses.

Road Test ► After you have completed your permit requirements, you will schedule an appointment to take the road test. ► Once you pass the road test you will obtain your provisional license. ► Schedule ► You cannot schedule by phone

Driver/Vehicle Requirements for Road Test ► Vehicle must have a valid inspection sticker. ► Valid Registration ► Valid Insurance ► Vehicle cannot have any obstructions that prevent the examiner from reaching the emergency brake ► Driver must have a valid permit ► Driver come with a licensed driver

Reasons for Rejection ► You can fail the road test before even getting in the car. ► Poor Brakes ► Faulty Parking Brake ► Unsafe Tires ► Interior condition ► No Inspection Sticker ► No snow tires if in snowy weather ► Fast Engine ► Missing Seatbelts

Road Test Failure ► If you fail your road test you must wait 2 weeks before making another appointment
