ACT WORKKEYS Students who complete the four- course Career and Technical Education sequence are administered the WorkKeys examination in the 12th grade. WorkKeys provides a gauge of career readiness and is widely recognized as an industry credential. WorkKeys assessments measure “real world” skills critical to job success. Increase Speed, Distance, & Batting Average GOALS Math Course Rigor - the percentage of students taking and passing high-level math courses such as Algebra II or Integrated Math III and higher. ACT Performance - the percentage of students scoring well enough to have a 50 percent chance of getting a B or higher in their first credit-bearing college course. WorkKeys Performance – for Career Technical Education concentrators (students who have earned four CTE credits in a career cluster), the percentage of concentrator graduates who were awarded a Silver Level Career Readiness Certificate based on the three WorkKeys assessments. Graduation Rates - The percentage of students who graduate in four years and five years. Graduation Project - Schools will receive credit if they require students to complete a graduation project. Algebra I/Integrated Mathematics I, English II and Biology. - School performance under the new accountability model will be reported in new ways in the fall of For the first time, a letter grade of A, B, C, D, or F will be applied to each public school. The grades are required by new legislation approved during the General Assembly's 2012 short session. Technical details regarding the A-F grading system are still being finalized.

B. PBIS: (Positive Behavior Support) provide assistance to schools to create positive school climates and develop more effective strategies for working with challenging behavior. C. Digital Content & Resources: All schools will have access to a variety of digital content that provides high quality Common Core aligned resources. Those resources include: CMAPP, Discovery Ed, SAS Curriculum Pathways, NBC Learn, VoiceThread, HomeBase, Google Apps, etc. E. Effective Teaching Framework: A comprehensive training for administrators and other select staff beginning in the school year, aimed at developing common language and understanding of effective teaching for WCPSS. D. Case21: Common benchmark assessments for all schools in state tested areas. Detailed reporting to drive instructional decisions. Beginning year 2 of implementation. G. Common Assessments: All PLT’s will provide common assessments to students in their classes to provide continuity, progress monitoring, and planned interventions for students more immediately. I. Effective Professional Learning Communities:. Refocus on the basics of effective PLT’s. All PLT’s will meet weekly to plan instructions, disaggregate data, and plan for needed interventions. Teacher Leader Corps: All 170 schools will have four teachers trained five days each year for three years on teaching practices for the implementation of Common Core and the integration of digital content. Corps members will create Learning Labs in their classroom and deliver professional development to their colleagues. H. Literacy Focus: The literacy life saver among other resources will be utilized to infuse one of the five anchor standards throughout every classroom. (Writing).
