EATING DISORDERS & COCURRENT CONDITIONS ANOREXIA BULIMIA BINGE EATING DISORDER ANXIETY IS AT THE ROOT OF ALL DISORDERED EATING. UNEASE IN THE BODY-INABILITY TO FIND REST, RELEASE, EASE. THE BODY & MIND REMAIN IN A HYPERAROUSED STATE. DEPRESSION IS USUALLY SEEN AS WELL. OBESESSIVE FOCUS ON THE BODY AS SEPARATE & PARTS RATHER THAN WHOLE-OBJECTIFICATION. DISCONNECTION TO THEIR BODY, THOUGHTS, EMOTIONS & BEHAVIOR. TRAUMA/PTSD MAY BE PART OF HISTORY.

FOCUS IS ON FREEDOM, PERMISSION TO CHANGE, SHIFT, DO OR NOT DO, ALLOWANCE OF WHATEVER ARISES IN THE MOMENT. ALL THOUGHTS, FEELINGS & SENSATIONS. MOVEMENT FROM ANNAMAYA TO MANOMAYA LEVELS CHOICE IS HIGHLIGHTED. LANGUAGE USED SUPPORTS THIS PROCESS. TRAUMA SENSITIVE ALONG WITH BEING PRESENT MOMENT FOCUSED. INQUISITIVE NOTICING WITHOUT BEING ANALYTICAL. ISHVARA PRANIDHANA- THE ABILITY TO LET GO & TRUST IN THE DIVINE, SOMETHING GREATER THAN.

ONLY 50% OF CLIENTS RECOVER WITH CURRENT TREATMENTS USED. PROGRAMS ARE NOW UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF BODY, MIND & SPIRIT INTEGRATION. THIS IS A PRACTICE THAT CAN BE USED IN THE COMMUNITY, NOT JUST IN HOSPITALS & PROGRAMS. WE CAN REACH A WIDER AUDIENCE BY BRINGING IT TO MAINSTREAM YOGA STUDIOS, CENTERS, COLLEGES (where ED statistics are highest). WE CAN BEGIN TO BREAK THE SILENCE AROUND THIS DISORDER BY GIVING PERMISSION & SAFETY TO EXPLORE CONNECTION TO BODY & MIND WITHOUT SHAME & ISOLATION.
