Advocacy, Support, Education, and More with MHALC

MHALC provides services in three main areas: Advocacy, Support, and Education We are not doctors, therapists, or psychologists. We help to connect the dots with other services.

Advocacy School-based advocacy for families of students with mental illness Adult advocacy to help individuals and their families navigate the mental health system Anti-stigma campaigns to raise awareness Lancaster County Suicide Prevention Coalition Prison advocacy to support inmates Community Support Program to bring the voice of the mental health consumer to mental health providers

Support Compeer Lancaster Free peer-led support groups Men’s and women’s groups in LCP Help-line to provide supportive listening as well as referrals Client assistance funds Holiday Gift Project

Education Community and school presentations about mental health and illness Free lending library and other free resources Peer-to-peer education to help individuals understand and cope with their mental illness Client Advocate to help individuals understand their rights and find appropriate services Community Trainings through the MHALC Wellness Academy
