Q. How do I access the ‘Parent Portal’? A.Either by the following address: Or Visit the ILD website and clicking on the following image:

Q. How do I sign in and view my child’s online portfolio? A.On the Parent Portal access screen, enter your unique ILD account details (found on the introduction letter received earlier this month). On your first login you will need to also need to input your ‘Activation Key’ N.B If you require more than one login then please let us know.

A. On your first login you will see the below screen which prompts you to create a new password Q. How do I sign in and view my child’s online portfolio (cont)?

Q. What will I see when I sign in? A. Once you have signed in you will be directed to your home page showing a photo of your child (or children). From here you will be able to navigate through their portfolio(s) and see observations, comments and photographs along with any video and audio clips which have been added.

Q. How can I contribute to my Child’s portfolio A. To contribute to your child’s portfolio you simply need to click on ‘Observation’ from the home page. From this point you will be able to write your observation, give the observation a title and upload a photo if you so choose.

Q. What type of observations should I make? A.Anything goes! It could be your child baking in the kitchen, being able to count to 10, riding their bicycle for the first time or successfully using the potty all day! Quite simply any glimpses of your child's home life will help us to provide a consistent approach to their learnings within the nursery environment.

Q. Is my Child’s data secure? A. ILD and Small is Beautiful take data security very seriously and therefore a number of steps are taken to protect your data:  All users have their own dedicated username and password  Encrypted data sent to and from the ILD  All data is stored in the UK on dedicated ILD servers  Access to data restricted to ILD individuals who support the schools, nurseries and parents  All ILD staff members have had CRB & PVG checks at the highest level  ILD are PCI/HIPAA compliant; data encryption is at a high enough level to store payment processing information or health records.

Q. What if I forget my password? A. You can reset your password by clicking ‘Forgotten Password’ on the sign on page Alternatively, you can contact us and we can reset it for you

Q. What can I expect in the future from my parent portal? A. The ILD are constantly evolving and improving and the parent portal is no exception  Plans this year to upgrade the portfolio to a more friendly magazine style approach  Plans to introduce audio and video uploads from home  Dedicated parent mobile app
